Subtitling, is that even necessary?
It may take some time and you may be quite understandable, but subtitling is definitely worth considering. We’ll give you a quick run-down of why.
The reasons to do subtitling?
● A lot of people bump into your video while watching without sound. For example, on the bus or at work. Without subtitles, it is then impossible to convey the essence of your message. With subtitles, you reach these people as well.
● Subtitles also have SEO value. YouTube is the second most used search engine after Google itself. Subtitles that you don’t “embed” in the video itself can be found.

What is the "baking in" of subtitles?
If you start incorporating your subtitles as in the video during editing, then they are inextricably linked to the image and are then not interpretable as text. This comes at the expense of SEO value and findability.
If you want the videos to be found on the subtitles, you need to add them as an SRT file. and so upload it to YouTube.
How to subtitle?
You do that super easily in YouTube itself. You upload your video and then you have a few options, but we’ll give you the easiest one. In a separate document, type out the full text and upload it to YouTube, while checking the ‘auto sync’ option. With a few tweaks, you can subtitle your video in a super professional way.
