What is your goal with online marketing? Just 3 more important tips!

Online marketing, there’s one thing and another involved. Don’t start from nothing. Start with a concrete goal. A well-crafted goal with a smart website that turns your goal into reality is going to bring you success.

1 // Why do you need to have a goal in mind?

A goal defines where you want to go and what exactly you want to accomplish. How can you start an online strategy if you don’t know what you want. Voilà that’s step one. All roads lead to the goal you have in mind. How? On the basis of funnels. No, funnels are not tangible and no, neither are they to be eaten. Funnels must be followed to lead your potential customer to your goal.

Let me explain:

What should they do with a Facebook post? Clicking on the link that points to your website? Okay and what if they come to your website? So should they subscribe to the weekly blogs? Or would you like them to contact you? That’s what I mean. That’s a funnel. And how can that be mapped out in detail if you don’t know what your goal is?

2 // Your target audience has an important role in your online marketing!

A goal, without a target audience? That’s a no go, right?

Make sure you know your target audience! Who are they? What do they want? What do they love? When are they triggered? Where are they located? Discover everything about your target group using the buyers journey. The buyers journey I have briefly explained to you in this blog.

By knowing your target audience, based on the buyers journey, you know exactly what to do and what steps to take to make your marketing a great success.

3 // Cliché but nevertheless the hard truth: Measuring is knowing

Is it clear what you want to achieve and have you uncovered your target audience? Then now is the time to spring into action! Time to put various strategies in motion. Of course, you don’t know which strategy is a great success or which strategies are less popular. If we knew that, the world would be a better place.

Therefore: measuring is knowing. Are you starting with a Facebook ad and have you (to your knowledge) identified the right target group? But still very little range? Could it be your content could be better? Or try another region after all? Speaking of trying: try it. This is the only way to find out!
